Finished!
The first draft of Queen of the Deeps is finally done!!! (Again.) Writing this book has taken so long that I’ve forgotten when I began. *leaves to look it up* 2022 – so 3 years. Maybe it feels long because I had to write it TWICE! That’s right, the original draft was finished in 2023, and then scrapped, and then completely rewritten from the ground up. The current draft is also double the size of my other books, coming in at 140,000 words. I’ve essentially written three books in the process of completing this one.Let me tell you, though, it has been so worth it.
I am so pleased and so excited with how Queen of the Deeps has turned out. The draft will need to rest a bit before I dive into edits but until then…
Prince of the Fallen Kingdom: (Book 2 of Ellunon) is getting its final rounds of proofing. I got to hold the hard copy in my hands and ink the pages with corrections. This is another book I’m excited to re-release with its new cover and expanded content! No hard and fast dates yet, but I’m pulling for a 2025 release! Stay tuned for updates.
